Distribution Information
Students that are registered for Northern Michigan University classes and have tuition paid, are eligible to pick up a notebook computer.
Students will be issued a notebook computer that is less than 2 years old. Art & Design majors will be issued an Apple notebook computer that is less than 2 years old.
Students registered part time (less than 12 credits for under-graduates and less than 8 credits for graduate students) will be assessed a $385.00 TLC rental fee when the computer is issued. The $385 TLC rental fee is charged to the student's NMU account. Art & Design majors will be charged an additional $150 fee per semester to cover the higher cost of the Apple notebook and additional software.
Each fall semester, computer distribution is held at the Superior Dome then continues on the first day of the semester at Micro Repair, located in room 114 of the Learning Resource Center (LRC). Mid-August, new students will be mailed a date and time to pickup a computer at the Dome. Continuing students will be notified via their NMU email account the assigned date and time to exchange their computer for another model.
